From John Maltby:
Experience Washburn, second daughter of Cornelius and Experience (Richards) Washburn, married Jonathan Alden, son of John and Hannah (Kingman) Alden, of East Bridgewater,[3] on 26 Nov. 1766 in Bridgewater.[4] He was baptized on 11 Oct. 1733 in East Bridgewater,[5] a grandson of Isaac and Mehitabel (Allen) Alden,[6] and of Henry and Bethiah (Haward) Kingman.[7] Jonathan Alden joined other heirs of John Alden, late of Bridgewater, in the sale of his father’s homestead to Hugh Orr, blacksmith, on 27 Feb. 1769.[8]
Experience (Washburn) Alden died on 26 Dec. 1775 in East Bridgewater, “in child bed,” aged 31 years,[9] and Jonathan Alden remarried to Hannah (Green) White, widow of Thomas White, of Abington,[10] and probably daughter of Samuel and Hannah (Jackson) Green, of Abington,[11] on 4 Dec. 1777 in East Bridgewater.[12] She was born on 27 Sept. 1747 in Abington.[13] They were living in Bridgewater, MA, in the 1790 federal census.[14] She died on 19 Feb. 1811 in East Bridgewater, of “pleurisy” or “consumption,” aged 63 years.[15]
Jonathan Alden died intestate on 18 Feb. 1825 in East Bridgewater, aged about 92 years, of a “great cold.”[51] Administration of his estate was granted to his son, Isaac Alden, on 24 Feb. 1825, and the distribution, dated 20 Feb. 1826, mention his heirs: Isaac Alden, Ezra Alden, John Alden, Cyrus Alden, Jonathan Alden, Mehitabel Jackson, and Mary Barrell. A second distribution, dated 3 Oct. 1826, mentioned portions distributed to Ezra Alden, Isaac Alden, Edward Vinton for Cyrus Alden’s portion, John Alden's portion, and Mehitabel Jackson’s portion, Christopher French for Jonathan Alden’s portion, the widow Rhoda Alden for Samuel Alden’s heirs, Abel Barrell for Mary Barrell’s portion, and David Alden.[52]
Experience (Washburn) Alden had at least 5 children,[53] and Jonathan Alden had possibly 6 more children by Hannah Green,[54] order uncertain:
