As per Genealogical Record of Antrim, New Hampshire Families by Rev R. H. Tibbals, James was one of the six children of James and Jean (Cochran) Aiken. He served in the French War and was a soldier of the Revolution (DAR Ancestor # A000863)SIGNER OF ASSOCIATION TEST, CAPT KINSMAN'S CO, COL STARK'S REGT. James' wife was Molly, daughter of Andrew McFarland. James and Molly had the following children:
Two children died young and the others were
1. Jane (engaged to John Alexander) but died before the wedding
2. Barbara md John Campbell
3. Katherine md James Hopkins
4. Martha md Joseph Favor
5. Polly md Ebinezer Kimball
6. James md Margaret Reed
James was born in 1731. He passed away in 1817.

Thank you, you are correct, this profile was mistaken for the James Aiken in Chester New Hampshire. The daughter has been removed and I will remove the father. This Aiken is not in my line so I will step down as the profile manager.
Based upon the bio, this James Aiken's father should be James also, not Nathaniel. This James with father has DAR register # A000863. The James Aiken with father Nathaniel (based upon bio) has a DAR register # of A000865. It also appears the daughter, Mary (Aiken) Fitzgerald may be incorrectly attributed to the family, She is not listed in the bio as a daughter. Also his daughter's birth location is listed as Virginia, not New Hampshire.
