Joseph Agard is DAR Ancestor #: A000844 He served as a Private in the 1st Regiment, New York Militia with Major Graham, Colonel Goose Van Schaick. The DAR lists his birth as 17 August 1746 Litchfield, Connecticut and his death 25 August 1836 Smallville Flats, New York. His wife is Tabitha Leach. [1]

Joseph Agard, RWPA #S45179. He served as a private in Captain Eleazer Curtis' Company of the First New York Regiment from December of 1775 to January of 1776. Pensioner's list. [2]

Rootsweb tree also states: "He was present at the surrender of General Burgoyne at Saratoga, New York 1777. 1798 Moved to Smithville Flats, New York"
