Biography

Nancy was born about 1797 in Buckingham County, Virginia.^[1] She was the daughter of John Adcock and Sarah Barnum. She passed away on January 16, 1887 in Carroll County, Mississippi.^[2] Her grave marker reads:

This would make her born 30 November 1784. It appears that the age at death is off by at least a decade. 1850 Census gives her age as 53, born 1797; 1860 Census gives her age as 62, born 1798; 1870 Census (Nancy is widow) gives her age as 72, born 1798.

Nancy married Samuel Tindol on 30 June 1815 in Morgan County, Georgia.^[3]
