Biography

Susanna Adams was born 26 April 1741 in Preston, New London, Connecticut Colony to parents Richard Adams and Susanna Preston. She married Benjamin Clark on 16 April 1761 in Preston, New London, Connecticut Colony and they had at least 10 children:^[1]

2. Esther b 1763;
3. Stephen b 1765;
4. Reuben b 1767;
5. Sarah b 1768;
6. Asahel b 1771 and d 1802;
7. James b 1773 and d 1817;
8. Samuel b 1777;
9. Susannah b 1779
10. Clarissa b 1783.

Susanna Adams Clark died about 1765 in Sandisfield, Berkshire County, Massachussetts, although her complete death date has not yet been found. After Susanna's death, Benjamin married Thankful (possibly Sage) and together they had a daughter, Thankful Clark b 13 Nov 1787 and died 14 Aug 1840.

Clarricy (sic) Finch and Thankful Clark to be furnished comfortable lodgings in addition to other gifts from father Benjamin.
