Captain Silas Adams served with 24th Massachusetts Bay Provincial Regiment (1775), Continental Army during the American Revolution.

Silas Adams served as lieutenant in Capt. Jacob Gerrish's company at the Lexington Alarm and in Col. Moses Little's regiment and was commissioned captain. 1777, Col. Jonathan Titcomb's regiment. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]

Silas Adams was born Feb. 6, 1741 in Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, son of Robert Adams and Anne Love Jaques. [7] [8]

Silas married Lucy Underwood in 1779 in Newbury. [7] [8]
