Gideon Adams was a soldier in the Revolution and probably a Corporal in Capt. Edw. Griswold's Co., Col. Belden's Reg. at Peekskill, New York from April 7 to May 4, 1777.[3][4] He received a US Revolutionary War pension on 17 April 1818 in New York, United States.[5] He was known as Capt. Gideon Adams by the family .[2]
Gideon Adams married Rhoda Hanchet on 10 February 1780 at Suffield, Connecticut, in the Congreagational Church.[6] They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 5 daughters.

Private Gideon Adams received a US Revolutionary War pension on 17 April 1818 in New York, United States.[5] Possibly not the same man as there is a conflict with the rank.
