He was born about 1719 in County Antrim, Ireland and his parents were Margaret (Henart) and Thomas Benjamin Adair, Sr.

Baron William Adair came from Belfast, Ireland to Chester County, Pennsylvania in 1730. [1][2]

William Adair married in 1749 in Laurens, South Carolina to Mary Moore.[2]

His brother James Adair received a land grant at Duncans Creek in Laurens, South Carolina and about 1750 he moved there with his father and 2 brothers. [3]

Moved to Kentucky in 1787 or 1788.[2]

He passed away about 1812 in Whitehall, Mercer County, Kentucky, USA.
