Biography
Private James Acre served with Virginia Militia during the American Revolution.
James served in the Revolutionary War enlisting in October 1776 in Captain Thomas Ford's Company of the Virginia Militia. He was discharged in October 1781 and his widow Esther collected his pension for years after this death.
