Biography

Silas was born about 1760.

He married Esther Guinn about 1788 in Weymouth. He and Esther had the following children:

Silas Ackley is a DAR Patriot Ancestor.

He served in the Revolution Ward in the 3rd New Jersey Regimen. He passed away at the age of 50 in 1810 after an accident at a tar kiln in Weymouth.

Gavin Myers
There is no proof that Hezekiah Ackley is the father of Silas. The Military biography on this profile states that Silas is the son of William Ackley, however, there is no proof of that parentage either. Further research needs to be conducted to confidently state the parents of Silas.
