After arriving in America, used the name Herman or Henry. Also known to have used the name John Henry. Is known to have used the surname Achen from 1777 - 1778, and the surname Achy from 1779 - 1780.

NATU: Sept. 15, 1764 Cocalico Twp., Lancaster Co, PA. Naturalized as a citizen of Great Britain.

He served as a Private in the Rev War as per Pennsylvania, U.S., Veterans Burial Cards, 1777-2012. [1]

Lived in "Achey Corner", now Reistville, PA. The family estate named "Achen" Was built in 1776. Was the heaviest taxpayer of Heidelberg Twp., Lebanon Co. and member of the Lutheran church of Schaefferstown. Served in the Battle of Long Island, NY during the Revolutionary War. [2] Constable of Heidelberg Twp. in 1782.

Burial 1786 in Tulpenhocken Cemetery; in Jack Twp., Lebanon, Pennsylvania, United States.
