Birth: Feb 14, 1678, son of John and Sarah Abbot, in Andover, Massachusetts[1] The article in the Essex Antiquarian lists his birth Jan 14, 1678/9, but the Vital Records have Feb[2].

Marriage: Stephen Abbot and Sarah Stevens married July 22, 1708, in Andover, Massachusetts.[3][2]

Death: 27 May 1766[4][2]

The printed version of the vital records for Andover distinguish between the two spellings Abbot and Abbott. All of the children of Stephen and Sarah fall under Abbott (tt) with two ts. Children should be merged into the double tt "Abbott" profiles

Just a note on the spelling of the surname. While later generations in some lines apparently spelled the name with two Ts, all of the sources given here (i.e. Essex Antiquarian, Vit. Recs Andover, Genealogical reg...) spell the name Abbot (one T). Knowing that sources spelling it with two Ts exist, I would keep the Abbott spelling in Other Last Names. But on future merges for these early Abbots, I would suggest merging Abbott records into the Abbot record.
