Biography

Corporal Reuben Abbott served with 6th Lincoln County Regiment, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Reuben Abbott is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A202891.

Reuben was baptised on 7 Jun 1741, in the First Church of Berwick, Maine. He was the son of Moses Abbott (1704-abt.1792) and Christian (Stimpson) Abbott (1709-1792). ^{[1][2] [3]}

Reuben Abbot served as a Sergeant and a Corporal during the American Revolution. He served with Captain Daniel Sullivan's company at Machias in 1777, and again at Frenchman's Bay in 1780. ^{[4] [5][6]}
