In 1832, Abraham applied for a Soldier's Pension for his military service. In his sworn testimony before the Adair County (Kentucky) Justices of the Peace on 29 November 1832, Abraham stated that he was born 18 March 1759 in Lancaster County [Province of Pennsylvania] and remained there until about 1771, when he relocated with his father to Pittsylvania County, [Colony of Virginia]. He further stated that he remained in Pittsylvania County for a period after the war, then later moved to Greene County, Tennessee, until 1824, when he settled in Adair County, Kentucky. His application mentions no other names (no parents, spouse or children), and does not state whether he ever received said pension.[1]
Kentucky Payment Ledgers, however, indicate that he received a small ($6-$8/year) pension from September 1831 until his death.[2]
