My dad and aunt Sharon were both adopted and are both now deceased. Daddy killed himself on November 17th, 2000 (three days prior to my 27th birthday. My aunt passed away from lung cancer at the age of 35. I was 18 or 19 at the time. Because of this, my cousin cannot find her biological half sister that we know was put up for adoption when Aunt Sharon was 15 or 16 years old, and I would genuinely like to know what my family medical history is. When I contacted the adoption agency, Hope Cottage, they refused to provide me with specific information on my father's biological parents and instead sent me redacted information on my father's adoption.
