We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.
Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.
Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.
Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.
My mother and great grandmother were both into genealogy. My great grandmother researched and composed a large book with information that she collected over approximately 25 years, predominantly for her family. Her grandfather was the founder of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Elisha John Harris. So, I believe, that this magnanimous person was largely her motivation. My mother was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, so that was hers.
I'm still trying to maneuver the site. I have already run into technical problems, I suspect, because of how green I am here. Both my mother mother and grandmother were married twice. I haven't found a space to reflect that yet. Also, my mother's biological father's birth name is completely different from his adoptive name. I couldn't see an option for that either. I noticed that on the profile, my biological grandfather's name is a little confused because of how I entered the information. If it's simple enough could you or direct someone to me? Perhaps after I've spent enough time on this site, I'll figure it out on my own.
I edited your grandfather's profile to enter the correct preferred name (not Anonymous).
To add a spouse to your grandmothers' profiles, just click "Edit" on their profiles and look on the far right. You'll see a link which will take you to a page to add a spouse. The link is called "add/remove spouse." Try that and let me know.
