Biography

Johann Konrad was born about 1630. Baron, captain in the regiment of Colonel von Reuschenberg of the Bavarian Army, later led the Stockheim regiment, and city commander of Würzburg. [1]

He was knighted on 25 April 1656 in Vienna by Emperor Ferdinand III due to his merits and those of his deceased brother Johann von Winterscheidt who was the Imperial General Sergeant, during the Thirty years war. In the letter of nobility, there were the delivery of the coat of arms, the designation "von Winterscheidt zum Kirschhof" and the noble freedoms in matters of legal proceedings and fiscal privileges as well as the promise of imperial protection. The transfer of nobility to male and female descendants is expressly granted to him, which was probably a sign of special favor. [1] [2]

The Kirschhof was a small property in Saarland (115 ha in 1799) between the towns of Heusweiler and Eiweiler in Germany. [3]

He passed away on 9 August 1684 in Würzburg. [1]
