Biography

Andrew Weldon, son of John and Ann Weldon, was baptized April 18, 1763 in Crathorne, England. ^[1]

John Weldon started for Nova Scotia on a ship that was wrecked off the coast of Portugal, in 1773 or early 1774. While he was making his way back to England, his wife Ann and four children immigrated to Nova Scotia on the Albion from Hull, Yorkshire, England in the spring of 1774 (Note: part of Nova Scotia became New Brunswick in 1784). John then followed, arriving at Halifax in the fall of 1774.^[2][3]

Buried in Dorchester Pioneer Cemetery, in Dorchester, Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada. Find A Grave states Birth: 1761, Death Jun 6, 1843 and "ae 82 yrs" and "h/o Elizabeth ae 93 yrs" ^[4]
