Biography

Aaron S. Taylor was born on February 9, 1823 to George and Rhoda (Smith) Taylor in Illinois. Aaron was the second of ten children born to the family.

The Taylor family lived in Illinois until after the birth of Aaron's sister Agnes in March 1832. Between her birth and the birth of his brother, George in 1836, the Taylor family had moved to Washington County, Arkansas.

Aaron married Sarah Ann Mayberry on February 8, 1853 in Prairie Grove, Washington County, Arkansas. Aaron and Sarah had five children and lived in Washington County for the rest of their lives.

Aaron served with Company A, 4th Arkansas Infantry Confederate States of America in the Civil War.

Aaron passed away on April 13, 1906 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He is buried in the Prairie Grove Cemetery located in Prairie Grove, Washington County, Arkansas, USA Plot: S-40-72 Find A Grave Memorial# 41357692
