Biography

Peregrine Sturm lived in Appalachia, in West Virginia.
Peregrine was born in 1829. He was the son of Daniel Sturm and Elizabeth Martin.

He learned blacksmithing. In his will, his blacksmith tools were one of the first items he bequeathed to his wife.

He married Elizabeth J. Barnhouse in 1853.[1]

He passed away in 1880.

Research Notes

FamilySearch profile, citing Genealogy of the Sturm Family, states that Peregrine fought in the Confederate Army during the U.S. Civil War. If that is so, he does not appear in my search of the National Park Service's Civil War Soldiers & Sailors Database.
