Walter atte Stone was probably born circa 1390 at Ardleigh, Essex, the son of William atte Stone.[1]
Walter is first found in records on 3 December 1416 as a witness to an inquisition concerning lands and tenements that had been occupied by Gilbert Dedham, deceased.[1] The name of his mother is unknown.
On 2 June 1431, Walter atte Stone came to Court of the Manor of Bovills and "made fealty to the lord for a tenement and garden adjacent, held by copy of court roll, which late was of William atte Stone, his father".[2] This is the last record found for Walter.
