Rudolph Stern
Rudolph Stern, former resident of this city, and manager, during his residence, of the Union Clothing Company, South Fourth Avenue, died yesterday at New London Conn. [CT], where he conducted a retail clothing establishment for the past 15 years. Born in Hungary, son of Samuel and Sarah Birn Stern, he had lived in this country for more than 60 years. He was a member of John Stewart Lodge 871, F. and A. M., this city, and of the Mutual Benevolent Society of 1865, New York City. Mr. Stern is survived by his wife, the former Sara Repp; two daughters, Mrs. David Hirsch and Mrs. Herbert Levy, of New York City; two grandchildren; six brothers, including David Stern of this city, and five sisters. Masonic services will be conducted tomorrow at 8 P.M. at Midtown Memorial Chapel, 117 West 85th Street, New York City, by John Stewart Lodge, while religious services will be held Wednesday at 2 P.M. Interment will take place at Union Field Cemetery, Cypress Hills, L. I.
