John and Elizabeth had 13 children: Ann (Annie), Jane, Elizabeth, Sarah, Lydia, George, Hannah, William, Joseph, Elizabeth, Eliza, Thomas and Mary.
He passed away and was buried on 15 October 1845 at Great Bowden, Leicestershire, England, United Kingdom.[3]
