Biography

NOTE: Do not confuse this Henry Musser with Henry Moser (Moser-4751). Both died in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, in 1805. [1]

  1. Henry Musser (Musser-78) - The Henry of this profile was the son of Jost Moser. He married Elizabeth. He is buried in Leacock Township, Lancaster County.
  2. Henry Moser (Moser-4751) - This Henry married Veronica. He lived in Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, and is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Henry Musser was born in about May 1730, based on his age at death as inscribed on his gravestone. [2]

Henry Musser signed his will on 20 February 1805, and it was proved on 23 December 1805. He named his wife, Elizabeth, and his three children: John, Jacob, and Henry (who was deceased, leaving a daughter Elizabeth). [4]

Henry Musser died on 14 December 1805. He is buried in the Weavertown Amish-Mennonite Cemetery near Bird in Hand, Leacock Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The inscription on his gravestone reads: "Here rests the body of Henry Musser, Died December the [14]th day 1805, Aged 75 years and 7 months." [2] Note: The day of the month is difficult to read in the photographs on FindAGrave.

Moser-1547 and Musser-78 appear to represent the same person because: similar dates, duplicate son. Since no record of his birth is known at this time, his LNAB is unknown, but his children went by Musser.
