Biography

Fannie was born in 1861. She was possibly the daughter of Margaret Morrison, or she could have been a niece. She passed away in 1912. Since Fannie was born in 1861, five years before Margaret's marriage to W. H. Smith, it is assumed Margaret brought Fannie to the marriage. In the 1870 Arkansas census, Fannie is not listed in the natural child order in the Smith family, but at the end of the listing as Fannie Morrison, age 11. A John Morrison is also listed ahead of Fannie not in the natural order, aged 13. Perhaps he is also a son or nephew of Margaret? Fannie is listed as being pre-deceased in her mother's obituary, but is not mentioned in William Henry Smith's obituary.
