Samuel was born in 1849, the son of George Mizer and Mary Helwig.[1] He was enumerated in his parents' household in 1850, 1860 and 1870. In 1875, when he was 26 years old, he married Sarah E Olinger.[2] They had the following known children:

Clara M Mizer (1881) m Perry Bache
Samuel passed away of Consumption in 1884[3] and is buried at Bakersville Cemetery in Coshocton County, Ohio.[4]
Notes
His wife later remarried twice, with children from at least one of those marriages. She passed away in 1943 (Sarah E (Olinger) Mizer Caton Geese).
