Melva Jean Mitchell was born at Calais, Maine, 12 Jul 1950, the third child of Melvin John Mitchell and Doris Irene Harriman; ^[1] died at Bangor, Maine, 15 Feb 2023. ^{[1] [2]}

She married (1) at Trinity Church, Saint Stephen, New Brunswick, 29 Sep 1969, Alan Charles Phillips; ^[3] married (2) Walter Lawrence Currier twice, 12 Mar 1893, ^[4] and again, 12 Mar 1992. ^[5]

Melva Jean (Mitchell) Currier
July 12, 1950 - February 15, 2023

Holden — Melva lost her long courageous battle with cancer on February 15, 2023. She was born to Doris and Melvin Mitchell in Calais, Maine, on July 12, 1950.

Melva was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister, but most of all the soulmate of her beloved Ken who was her rock. She was predeceased by both parents, two great-grandsons, Hunter and Gage and her sister, Carolyn James, along with her brother-in-law, Elwood Tozier.

In addition to the love of her life, Ken Appleton, she leaves behind her loving son, Wayne Mitchell; granddaughter, Felicia Mitchell and her husband, Rob, and their children, Trystan and Alexandria Stephanie-Lynn; her daughter and best friend, Stephanie Phillips Buzzell and special son-in-law, Andy Buzzell; grandson, Michael Buzzell and his fiancée, Breanna White and their children, Sophia, Callie, Kobe, Griffin and Bailey-Ann. She also leaves behind two special sisters whom she adored, Brenda Tozier and Barbara Pendleton; several nieces and nephews; as well as her kitty, Furbie.

Per Melva's request, there will be no services.
