It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Lorraine Hickey of McAdam, NB on October 9, 2020 at Wauklehegan Manor. She was born on April 25, 1929 at Tweedside, NB, a daughter of the late George and Ella (Kingston) Messer.
Lorraine was a loving and caring Nurses Aid for 23 years at both Loch Lomond Villa and Wauklehegan Manor as well as a member of the Women’s Guild at Rockland Drive United Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and many will remember the gallon-sized cookie jars always full on the cupboard, and the huge family meals celebrated in her home on every special occasion. Having a crowd around was always her favourite way of showing her love for her family. Lorraine also bowled, went square dancing and volunteered on the McAdam Ambulance, but her greatest enjoyment was to attend as many fiddle shows and dances as possible.
