Victor was born in 1886, the son of William Thomas Jose and Tilda (Rundstrum)[1]
He left Victoria and travelled to Western Australia where he was employed in the mining industry.
His engagement to Amelia Oddy was announced in early September 1909. Victor was from the Oroya-Brownhill mine and Amelia from Golden Gate.[2]
On 30 September 1909 he married Amelia Oddy in Boulder, Western Australia[3]
Marriage notice (The Mirror (Perth, WA : 1907 - 1910) Fri 1 Oct 1909 / Page 8 / Goldfields Gossip) On Thursday last at St. Mathew's Church, Boulder, Mr. Victor William Jose was married to Miss Amelia Oddy. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. E. M. Collick. The bride was given away by Mr. David Jose, and Mr. W. McCrae acted as best man. The wedding breakfast was laid in St. Mathew's Hall, where about 80 guests sat down, presided over by the Rev. Collick. The usual toasts were honored, and dancing and music were kept up until a late hour. The presents were of a rich and varied nature.[4]
He passed away in 1962 aged 75 years[5]
