Biography

Jorgen Michael Christophersen was born in 1814 in Leite, More og Romsdal, Norway. He was the son of Christopher Conrad Jorgensen and Martha Andersdr. Jorgen was baptised on 20 November 1814 in Torvastad, Rogaland, Norway.^[1]

When Jorgen was 25 he married Gundela Karine Jansdatter on April 2,1840 in Haugesund, Rogaland, Norway.^[2] The couple had 5 children:

1. Marthe Christine Michaelsdtr (1840–1916)
2. Christopher Conrad Jorgen Michalsen (1844–1898)
3. Helge Andrew Michaelson (1849–1931)
4. Ann Malene Michaelson (1853– )
5. Julia C McCallson (1858–1936)
