Edith Marian Gray was born on 19 June 1909, in Mountain, Stormont Dundas and Glengarry, Ontario, Canada. She is the daughter of Thomas Gray and Annie Gilmer.^[1]

In the 1911 census Marian was the single daughter of Thomas A Grey in Dundas, Ontario, Canada.^[2] In the 1916 census Marian (age 6) was the daughter of Thomas Gray in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada.^[3]

Edith Marian Gray married Helmer Rudolph Dahl in 1929, in Cereal, Special Area No. 3, Alberta, Canada. They were the parents of:
