Biography

Delia Mae “Dellie” Cunningham was born 25 November 1901 in Trigg County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of George Harvey Cunningham and Susan Noel. In 1910, she lived with her father and step mother Mary.[1]


She died 6 August 1971 and is buried at Lawrence Cemetery in Cadiz, Trigg County, Kentucky.[2]

Mrs. Choate, 69, of Cadiz, Dies
CADIZ, Ky., Aug 7 — Mrs. Delia May Choate, 69, of Cadiz Rt. 1, died at 5 p.m. Friday at home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. Woodrow Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Lawrence Cemetery in Trigg County.
Survivors include her husband, Byron Choate Sr.; five daughters, Mrs. Margie Hancock, Mrs. Bonnie Graham, Mrs. Louise Henson, all of Christian County, Mrs. Dorothy Henson, Muskoegan, Mich., and Mrs. Lucy Mitchuson, St. John, Ind.; five sons, G.C. Choate, Byron Choate Jr., and Clarence Choate, all of Trigg County, James Lacy Choate, Christian County, and Billy Rae Choate, U.S. Army; a sister, Mrs. Andy Calhoun, Trigg County; a half-sister, Mrs. Effie Melton, Hopkinsville; 56 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
