1897 DEATH AND BURIAL
Hattie Cullins, 21, died 4 November 1897 in West Union Township, Fayette, Iowa; buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, West Union, Fayette County, Iowa.
[1][6]
Her death occurred two weeks after her brother Charles died of typhoid. They share the same gravestone.
The attached photos show the large Cullins headstone with an inscription for Hattie and Charles Cullins who died while their parents, George and Aby Cullins, were still living.
Re: Return to Iowa Barton Butler and the families of George Cullins, N.W. Butler, and Edward Smith were together in Lee's Summit, Missouri for six years. The Cullins daughter Florence was born in Missouri in 1870; daughter Hattie was born in 1876. It's uncertain if Hattie was born before or after they returned to Iowa.
The 1880 census says she was born in Iowa. An additional source would be helpful.
