Biography
Jane Clerk, daughter of James Clerk and Jane Duff was baptised in the parish of St Cuthbert's, Edinburgh on 9 September 1794.[1]
Jane's father inherited the estate of Craighall Rattray from his grandmother in 1817 and changed the family name to Clerk Rattray.[2]
Jane married William Waring Hay in the parish of St Cuthbert's, Edinburgh on 12 February 1844.[3]
Jane died in Edinburgh on 10 November 1872, aged 79.[4][5]
