Is this Richard Bell being confused with his father, Richard Bell (1605-1700)? There is no way Richard Bell, born 1625 or 1631, could have acquired the land in James City County that was patented to Richard Bell from 1637 to 1642. No land acquisitions for a Richard Bell are found in records after 1642.
