Johannes Andreas Andreassen was born on 28 Jun 1852 in Balsfjord, Troms, Norway, son of Andreas Martin Hansen and Elen Johanne Johannesdatter. He was baptised on 10 Oct 1852 in Tromsø.[1]
Johannes, son of Andreas Martin Hansen, married Martha Andrine Andersdr on 27 Jun 1880 in Balsfjord, Troms, Norway.[2]
They had at least 12 children.
He immigrated to the USA about 1880, soon after his marriage, where he was known as John Hanson.
In the 1900 census John (age 48) was with his wife and 9 unmarried children in Stevens & Synnes Townships, Stevens, Minnesota, United States.[3]
