Biography
Elkanah was the 8th child of Elkanah and Sarah Sally Murray Anderson. He was born about two years before his father died at the Battle of New Orleans. Elkanah married twice, first to Martha Jane Spurlock, then the Mary Elizabeth Ward, both in Perry County, TN. He had five children with each of those wives. Elkanah moved his family from Perry County TN to Franklin County AR in 1854, where he died in 1880.
