Married twice

Elizabeth Wright marrying William Hiles in 1846 Gloucester England and emigrating to the States prior to 1860 census is of an age and birth place to also be the Elizabeth Iles shown as mother in the marriage cert. of a child from her 2nd marriage to Robert Prebble.

The two families were certainly known to each other as Joseph, son of Robert from his fiirst marriage married Helen daughter of Elizabeth from her first marriage.

My interest in this family arose from DNA matches that have to be a clue to the origins of my brickwall William Austen (see Categories lnk above).

As the matches are to descendants of both Susannah and of Matilda, ie children of Elizabeth's from both marriages, my further interest is in Elizabeth's origins and how they can connect to William, somehow.Henderson-2297
