Norman Leslie Woodley was born in 1914, at Queensland.[1] He was the son of William John Woodley (1883-1965) and Margaret Marjorie Temple (1888-1973).
Norman married Agnes Elizabeth Smith (1918-2011) in 1936, at Queensland.[2] They had two sons.
He passed away on 19 September 1940, at Gladstone, Queensland.[3] Norman is buried at Gladstone Cemetery, Gladstone, Queensland.[4]
SUCCUMBED TO INJURIES A young man, Norman Leslie Woodley, 25, was seriously injured when he was thrown from his horse near Builyan on Friday, September 13, and passed away in the Gladstone Hospital on Thursday night. It appears that the deceased was riding from Many Peaks to Builyan, where he was employed, when the horse dashed into the timber dislodging the rider. The Gladstone Ambulance received a call and conveyed the injured man to the Gladstone Hospital. Deceased leaves a widowand two children and his father resides at Parson's Point, Gladstone. The funeral took place at the Gladstone cemetery on Friday afternoon, the Rev. W. E. Boyldew officiating. - Gladstone correspondent.[5] |
