Biography

William H. Wines was born 21 Jun 1802 in Newport, Cheshire County, New Hampshire to Abijah Wines and Ruth Giles where he remained until 1827

On February 22, 1827 he married Mary Maxfield in Warner, New Hampshire by Elder Joseph Watson.

In 1830 He and Mary were living in Newport, Sullivan County, New Hampshire.

William H.'s father Abijah passed away on February 11, 1833, in Amesbury, Massachusetts, at the age of 66.

His daughter Tryphena C. was born in June 1833 in New Hampshire.

His son William was born in 1835 in New Hampshire.

His daughter Mary Martha was born on February 20, 1835, in Newbury, New Hampshire.

His son Alvin Hatch was born in 1836 in New Hampshire.

His daughter Ellen was born on September 8, 1837, in New Hampshire.

His daughter Lucinda was born in 1843 in Cambridge, New Hampshire.

His son Joshua was born in 1848 in Cambridge, New Hampshire.

In 1850 the Census reports him living in Cambridge, Coos County, New Hampshire

In 1870 he had moved to Marinette, Oconto County, Wisconsin with an estate valued at $1000. This census reveals that he reads and writes. It also shows he was living next to William and Ellen Faucett according to the register.

The 1880 census reports them continuing to live in Marinette, Marinette County, Wisconsin

The 1895 Wisconsin State Census records him in Porterfield, Marinette County, Wisconsin

His daughter Mary Martha passed away on July 9, 1901, in Marinette, Wisconsin, at the age of 66.

His son Levi M. passed away on April 24, 1911, in Marinette, Wisconsin, at the age of 84.

His son Alvin Hatch passed away in 1911 in Vancouver, British Columbia, at the age of 75.

His son William passed away in 1911 in Vancouver, British Columbia, at the age of 76.

On 02 Apr 1912 William passed away in Marinette, Marinette County, Wisconsin. According to Find a grave: William died in Winesville, Marinette, WI, in the town named for his son, Levi M. Wines. His grave is found in the Forest Home Cemetery
