A fulsome obituary was published in the The Western Chronicle, Yeovil, Fri. Jun 24 1921 describing him as "A native and also a life-long inhabitant of the village", of amiable and genial disposition ... "a life experienced thatcher, and well-known for many miles around." ...
" He leaves a widow and a grown-up family of four sons and four daughters,...", he and his wife had celebrated their golden wedding about eight years ago...
"The family mourners present were: Mrs Windsor (widow), Messr Samuel and Eli Windsor (sons, the latter of Portishead Bristol), Misses Kate and Mabel Windsor, Mrs Denow (daughters), Mrs Windsor daughter-in-law, Bristol). The second son, Mr. William Windsor (Henbury, near Bristol) could not attend the funeral and another son Mr. Tom Windsor is living in Canada." [3]
