Biography

Mary Anne Window^[1] (married name Garton) was born about Aug 1826 in Ashley, Horsley, Gloucester, England^[1].

The barque, Susan set sail from Plymouth, England on 8 Nov 1838 with the WINDOW family among its assisted immigrant passengers and arrived in Port Jackson, Colony of New South Wales on 10 Mar 1839^[2][3][4]. The family consisted of parents, James (age 39) and Eliza (39) and their children, Alfred (16), Mary (13), George (10) Sarah (8) and Eliza (8).

She married John Garton on 24 June 1852 at Holy Trinity Church, Adelaide, South Australia^[5]. Their children were:
