Biography
Thomas was born in 1799, the son of Daniel Wight and Hannah Lyon.
He attended the medical school at Brunswick, Maine, in 1828 and 1830, and graduated from there in 1830. He also studied medicine with Dr. John Grover at Bethel, Maine, and began to practice medicine in Lunenburgh, Vermont.[1]
He married Caroline Paine or Payne of Newry, Maine. They had one child:
- Thomas, 1832-1836, died aged 4 years old
He died in 1832, when he was 33 years old. He is buried at the Old Powers Cemetery in Newry.[2]
