Biography

Timothy was born on January 13, 1805, in Gilead, Maine. He was the son of Ephraim Wight and Susannah Patch.

He married Mary Ann Green on May 13, 1828, in Gilead. They moved from Gilead to Bethel, Maine, in the spring of 1833, though returned to Gilead two years later. They had the following children:^[1]

• Laurentia, born January 16, 1829
• Silvina, born April 25, 1830
• Obando, born January 25, 1832
• Wesley, born May 26, 1834
• Ephraim, born December 16, 1836
• Lydia Green, born October 4, 1839
• John Green, born March 2, 1842
• Timothy Nason, born December 25, 1843
• Mary Ann, born July 2, 1846; died March 25, 1851

Timothy died on March 13, 1847, in Gilead.^[2] He is buried in Peabody Cemetery in Gilead.^[3] His widow remarried to Caleb Strong Peabody in 1852.^[1]

His probate file lists the following minor children of his who were living in Maine at the time: Lucretia Wight, Silvina Wight, Obando Wight, Wesly Wight, Ephraim Wight, Lydia G. Wight, John G. Wight, and Timothy N. Wight.^[4]
