Biography

Thomas was born in 1802. He married Ann Neilson on 26 April 1822 in Dunbar, East Lothian, Scotland. Their marriage was blessed with six children. He passed away 11 April 1866, aged 64 years.

The headstone in Whittingehame Churchyard records that Janet and Jean, daughters of Thomas Whitecross and Annie Neilson died in infancy and are buried with their parents. Jean may be an error for Ann who was born in 1832.

Erected by Thomas Whitecross Innerwick in memory of his wife Ann Nilson who died 10th May 1854 aged 56 years also Janet and Jean their daughters who died in infancy. The above Thomas Whitecross died 11th April 1866 aged 64 years.
