Biography

I am Timothy Allen Wentz, Born May 24, 1955, in Hartford City, Ind. We lived on West Monroe St. Montpelier, Ind. I went to Kindergarten at the town Library but didn't like taking naps, so I walked out and went home. So Mother kept me out of there. I then went to 1st grade at Montpelier. Mrs. Wolfe was my teacher. Then in 1962, we moved to Marion, Ind. so Father could be closer to work (GM). We lived on 400 East (Candy Rd.) just south of 38th St. The country life was wonderful! I always played in the creek or back in the woods. I attended Roosevelt Ele. School which was a mile and a half away. From the 2nd grade up to the 6th grade I attended and had fun! We knew everyone. Then I went to Washington School for Jr. High. Washington was in Marion Town. Going from a country school to a city school was rough for a country boy. Like throwing meat to the lions. Then in 1969 I went onto Marion High School for my Freshman Year, and on up to Graduation in 1973. Then my brother Doug was going on to Jones Jr. High School in Marion, so we moved again into Marion, to be closer to work again, to 723 W. Nelson St. I got a job at Pierce Governor in Upland Ind. made $2.10 an hour. Then 2 1/2 years later in 1976, I got a nice job at Marion General Hospital, which was only two blocks from where we lived. I was a P.T. orderly, started at $3 an hour, then every year got a raise. I went on to night school and got my EMT license and transferred over to Ambulance Service. I made $7 an hour. I met and got married to Cheryl A. Rettig, we had two wonderful children, Sarah R. Wentz, 1980, and David Rocky Wentz, 1981. I worked there in Ambulance for 8 years and the last few of those years I took night classes in Industrial Maintenance. Two years of IV Tech classes landed me a position in the Maintenance Dept. making $8.50 an hour. I divorce my wife and remarried Charlotte McDaniels in 1994. I divorced her in 1996 and dated around. I finally met a wonderful lady at MGH and we married in 2003. We have so much fun! I worked there at MGH until I retired in 2016. I was a CLEP and CIT Electrician making $20 an hour at retirement. 41 years at MGH was a nice employment. I was able to obtain the MGH pension, a Lincoln Life Annuity, and SS. With all this I am making more money retired than I was working! Retirement is wonderful!! Always fun things to do and we travel around. We always have something to do. Emily my wife also retired from MGH as an RN. Life is good! Dated this Friday, June 1st, 2018. Tim A. Wentz.

Hi Tim,

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.

It looks like Dutch Roots would be a good fit with the tag you entered. Adding the tag Dutch_Roots will help you get updates about activity for that project.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Hi,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hello Genealogists, I am interested in my Hart, Wentz and Davidson families. They crossed from Germany and Holland, into PA, Ohio, Indiana, and on the Davidson side from Kansas, that's all I know of that side. Many thanks to my Aunt Peggy Dick who has spent many years on our history. If you have anything for me please share it.

Thanks., Tim Wentz Marion, Indiana
