"d. At residence of bride's mother, Chatham (North. Co.) 17th inst., by Rev. J. McCurdy, John James WARING, Engineer, late of St. John, N.B. / Grace d/o late Joseph HALL." [As with all transcriptions, there are bound to be errors. I think that this was supposed to be a Newspaper Marriage Announcement, rather than a death announcement, and that's pretty much confirmed by the use of the word "bride" in the announcement. Also, Since John William Waring was born about 1868, neither of his parents (listed on John W. Waring's marriage record as "John J. Waring and Grace Hall") could have died in 1862.] [Most people don't marry or have children before age 15. 1862-15=1847, Both marrying parties (John James WARING, Engineer, late of St. John, N.B. / Grace d/o late Joseph HALL.") would have been born before 1847.]
