Biography

Gerard was born in 1898. He was the son of Oliver Wallop and Marguerite Walker. Besides gaining a hands-on knowledge of agriculture in the U.S., he also received a formal education in England at Winchester College and Oxford University. Gerard was a prolific author and served the British government in various positions. He was also a Member of Parliament (Conservative) between May 1929 and February 1934.
