Biography

Mrs. Ola Odessa Grimes, age 85, of Colorado City went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 23, 2013. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Paul Smith officiating.

Ola was born on September 15, 1928 at Seven Wells in Colorado City, Texas to Claude Allen Wallace (1888-1965) and Julia (Echols) Wallace (1890-1945). Ola was the sixth child of seven to join the Wallace family.

Those left to cherish Ola's memory are three daughters, Sue (Grimes) Kitchens (?-?) and husband Clyde Kitchens (?-?) of Odessa, Texas; Jodie (Grimes) Hill (?-?) and husband Larry Hill (?-?) of Syracuse, Utah; Charlotte (Grimes) Kindel (?-?) and husband Shane Kindel (?-?) of Granbury, Texas; four sons; Roger A. Grimes (?-?) and wife Darlene (unknown) Grimes (?-?) of Waco, Texas; Troy Don Grimes (?-?) and wife Brenda (unknown) Grimes (?-?) of Colorado City, Texas; James Grimes (?-?) and wife Karla (unknown) Grimes (?-?) of Odessa, Texas; and son-in-law Danny Dossey, husband of Ola's daughter Linda Dossey who preceded her in death; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Pauline (Wallace) Sullivan (?-?) and husband Charlie Sullivan of Waco, Texas; one sister-in-law, Winnie Carrol of Eastland, Texas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ola is also preceded in death by her husband Roger Frank Grimes (1925-1997), two sisters, three brothers; and her grandson Josh.
