Isabella is estimated to have been born about 1670, probably in Eckford, and to have married William around 1690.
Research notes
Isabella's surname
Several trees have decided that she is Isabella Cowans.
The main problem with this is that the marriage of a William Richardson and an Isabel Cowans occurred in 1709 which is slap bang in the middle of all the children assigned to William and Isabella.
There can of course be two William Richardsons of Pringlestead, especially given the gap in the children between 1707 and 1711 when this marriage occurs, but children either side of these dates do specifically show William as in Pringles Stead (Agnes 1703, William 1707, George 1711, Agnes 1716.)
My working assumption is that they are one and the same family, based primarily on William in Pringlestead being a cautioner for Marion's 1709 marriage to Adam Hunter, but perhaps we are talking a Senior and Junior here, with the Junior being the one married to Isabel Cowans?
This theory (one William) also assumes that the first Agnes (1703 in Pringlestead) died before the second was baptizedHenderson-2297 23:51, 20 February 2021 (UTC)
